Gemini Student Build — Portland (w/ The AI Collective)

A casual, non-competitive student build session at University of Portland where AI-forward students build solo or team projects with Gemini, officially run by The AI Collective with Major League Hacking and Google.

Sat, Jul 25, 11:00 AMUniversity Park, Portland, OR

Why it matters

It's a hands-on look at how students without production budgets actually use Gemini day to day -- useful ground truth for how free or low-cost API tiers get used once real people start building with them.

The tokenmaxxing angle

An afternoon of unstructured Gemini building by students is a natural experiment in how a free-tier/student-access model gets used absent cost constraints -- a useful contrast point for tokenmaxxing's coverage of what changes once usage has to be paid for at scale.

From the organizers

Held at Shiley Hall, Room 301, University of Portland; run jointly by The AI Collective, Major League Hacking, and Google Gemini, with registration required through MLH's event page rather than the Luma listing itself.
