Agentic Software Engineering Meetup

A DC gathering for software engineers using AI coding agents like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Gemini CLI in their daily work. Hosted at Prefect HQ, it mixes demos, failure post-mortems, and a live survey on agentic engineering practices.

Why it matters

The failure post-mortems segment is rare — most events only showcase wins. Engineers sharing real breakdowns in agentic workflows reveal the actual cost centers and failure modes that practitioners need to guard against.

The tokenmaxxing angle

An interactive survey on agentic engineering practices across a room of practitioners produces a snapshot of which tools people actually use and where their pipelines break down — a useful proxy for where token spend is concentrated or wasted.

Held at Prefect HQ, 2112 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington DC on June 23, 6–8 PM EDT. Agenda includes a dedicated 'Agentic Software Engineering Failures' segment at 7:00 PM alongside demos and a presentation with live survey.
